lamictal and wellbutrin

I am currently on lamictal, which has helped me a great deal, but lately i have bad bouts of severe depression, suicidal at times. I am wondering if anyone here takes the combo of lamictal and wellbutrin and if so your thoughts on it. Im going to ask my dr about it i got the 31st of january

I am on lamictal, wellbutrin and also medication for my thyroid. Almost the same combo as you but different dosages. I have noticed that the lamictal has started to work for my mania (I am currently working up to a higher dose) but I think since I am not having elevated moods, I feel I need a higher does of wellbutrin to curb the lows. I am very sensitive to medication because of my hypothyroidism so I have to take it pretty slow when it comes to uping my dosage.

As you can see below I take Lamictal, Seroquel and Wellbutrin. The Lamictal and Sero helped my severe mania, but then when we got that under control...mostly....I went to depression. The Wellbutrin has helped immensely...you just have to watch the mania side if you have that issue alot. I tend to go manic more than depressed so I have to be careful with antidepressants. I'm still not completely stable, but the Wellbutrin has given me back a reasonable amount of energy and lifted my dark mood.

I just got put on Lamictal in January. Ive been taking wellbutrin for 6 years. This cocktail finally worked. Wellbutrin helped with my depression and the lamictal is helping with the mania. My mood has been stable for two months. Never before has that happened in my life. I fluctuate regularly with my period. Way up and way down every month and baseline of about 5 days in between. Have had two months of baseline and am sleeping great.

I have been taking wellbutrin xl and trileptal for a couple of years. I'm allergic to seraquel. The medicine I take now works well. For many years I was misdiagnosed with depression only and took paxil and then zoloft. They both made me very sleepy. Almost non funtional. I stopped paxil without telling my doctor a went crazy. I like wellbutrin it works well for me.
