How do I tell what bipolar I have?

A month ago I was in a mental hospital and was diagnosed with bipolar but the doctor didn't tell me if it was bipolar 1 or 2. I have weekly meetings with a therapist and a meet with the med team to discuss my medication in 11 days. My therapist thinks I have bipolar 1, but she isn't sure. Do I wait for my meeting with the med team to ask, or my therapist thinks she'll be able to diagnose me by the 10th meeting. What do I do?

How long do your highs last? Do you get a bit high, or very high? Do you hear voices and or see things.
Bipolar 2 you will have shorter high moods that dont last as long.
Bipolar 1 you will have long highs that last a week or more, you may also hear voices and see things towards the higher more severe moods.
There is also mixed moods where you are high and low at the same time.
There's also rapid cycling and switching moods, where you will go from high to low quickly.
Also mood congruent and mood incongruent bipolar (again more towards severe moods).
I would think about how you feel, what you go through with your bipolar and start to understand what symptoms "you" have or are going through.
